Chicago Auto Show 2012: Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible. Ford takes the show in Chicago to present the roof version of the Shelby GT50, 20 years after the first models developed by the domestic
Special Vehicle Team (SVT) from the American manufacturer.

F – 150 Lightning. To celebrate this anniversary and on the occasion of the Chicago Auto Show 2012, the manufacturer of
Dearborn unveils its new
Shelby GT500 Convertible.
Under the hood of this discoverable Monster lodges the same V8 5.8 of 659 horses and 813 Nm of torque than the hard version. For the first time, SVT was reasonable by electronically limiting the speed of this convertible to 250 km/h.

The Shelby GT500 Convertible is also efficient as Coupe. All changes made to this version allow to shine on circuit but also to be a usable car all day” says SVT Chief Engineer, Kerry Baldori.
As on the Coupe, the hair in the wind version is available with the Performance and Track Package. The first one includes settled electronically Bilstein dampers while the Track Package includes oil, the rear differential cooling circuits and transmission.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible will be assembled in the Flat Rock plant in Michigan (USA). No price has yet been communicated.
